Prairie City FFA Travels to State FFA Convention

Recently 14 members from Prairie City FFA Chapter traveled to the 2015 Oregon FFA State Convention attended by 100 chapters and 2000 FFA members. Convention was held at Silverton High School, and spanned 4 days, March 20-23. This year 4 members received their State Degrees, Amy Black, Amaya Zweygardt, Garrett Hitz, and Samantha Molt. The State Degree is the highest honor that the Oregon FFA Association can bestow upon an FFA member.

The Prairie City FFA Chapter as a whole received 2 awards, Superior Chapter and a 10% membership award.

PRINCIPAL'S corner

I would like to take an opportunity to thank our community and parents for their continued support of our students and their programs.  For the size of community in which we reside, it amazes me the amount of endless support that is directed towards the school.  Whether it be through donation of pop cans to raise funds for events, purchasing of items to support local sports teams, PTA events, and class trips, or simply being in attendance at one of our many school functions, our small dedicated community continues to come through.

Thank You! Your support makes a difference in our students lives here at Prairie City Schools.
