Humbolt Elementary School is a kindergarten through 6th grade public school in Canyon City, Oregon.  We enroll approximately 255 students.  Our students reside in the communities of John Day, Mt. Vernon, Canyon City and rural Grant County.  Our campus is nestled in pine trees on the edge of town.  Deer and quail are frequent guests on our playground.

Our mission is to provide a quality education to each child who enters our doors.  This includes developing the academic, physical and social skills of each individual student to the highest possible degree.  We believe education is a partnership and a shared responsibility between students, staff, family and community.
