THERE IS NO FRIDAY SCHOOL THIS WEEK. SPRING VACATION BEGINS!

 

 

Grant Union High School apparel is available for purchase at Pebble Creek Apparel. All proceeds go to Prospector Booster Club

 

PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR STUDENT TO WASH THEIR HANDS FREQUENTLY, AND/OR USE THE HAND SANITIZER AVAILABLE IN EACH CLASSROOM. The following guidelines come from www.flu.gov

1. Students and staff should stay home if sick

2. Students should be fever free for at least 24 hours without the aid of any fever reducer before they return to school

STUDENTS WHO ARE ILL SHOULD NOT COME TO FRIDAY SCHOOL

 


Parents and Students: Please remember that cell phones and iPods are not allowed in the building on Fridays. On normal school days, they are only allowed in the building before school, after school and during lunch. Food and drinks are not allowed in hallways or classes. Bottled water is acceptable. Inappropriate language, including the use of acronyms, should not be used on campus, or written on locker signs.

 

 

 

There will be a free presentation of the documentary "Not in our Town" tonight from 6:30 - 8:30 and tomorrow morning from 9:00 - 11:00am in the Old Gym.

 

Admission for softball and baseball games during Spring Break will be $5 for adults and $4 for students. GUHS students with their ASB card will be admitted free.....without your card you will be expected to pay $4.

 

The Dixie Dumpster is full! Please check it for your missing items. It will be emptied right after Spring Break.

 

Seniors! Your yearbook pictures are due. If you still need them taken, you can sign up with Lifetouch (yearbook photo provided at no charge) to  have your portrait taken on March 31st. See Ms. Collier for sign up times ASAP.

 

Class Election packets for 2010-2011 are available through your current class president. If you want to be an officer next year get it filled out and turned in to ASB  ASAP!

 

PEACE will meet today  at noon in Mrs. K's room. Bring your lunch. Members who can help set up chairs for the presentation tonight should meet in the Old Gym right after school.

 

Junior Boys!! Boys State applications are here. See Mrs. Shelley ASAP if you are interested.

 

A CNA class will be starting on March 17th. Cost is $300 and the background check will be on Monday, the 15th at 8:30am at the Blue Mountain Nursing Home in Prairie City. Mrs. Shelley has the syllabus if you are interested.
